What's New in GATE 2025?
GATE scores can now be used for financial assistance in master's and doctoral programs across various disciplines, including engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities. For doctoral programs, only selected subjects are available, and the institution must be supported by the Ministry of Education or other government agencies.
Key Points to Note:
* The GATE 2025 scorecard will contain the marks obtained by the candidate in each section of the exam, the overall score, and the All India Rank (AIR).
* Qualifying in GATE does not guarantee admission, scholarship, or a job. Admission to any institute is fully dependent on the admitting institute's criteria.
* GATE scores are used by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) for recruitment.
* The GATE cut-offs depend on factors such as the number of candidates, seat availability, previous year's trends, and the difficulty level of the exam.
Additional Information:
* Candidates who forget their login credentials can retrieve them from the official website.
* Candidates with scores less than the qualifying marks for their category will be able to download a performance report at a later date.
* There will be separate ranks and scores for sectional papers XE, XH, and XL.
* Negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers in MCQs.
The GATE exam is a crucial step for engineering graduates seeking admission to postgraduate programs and job opportunities in PSUs. Candidates are advised to download their scorecards and check the official websites for further updates and details.
